It was great. My ‘96 Dodge Cummins Diesel with a six pack camper in the bed, towing my 78 Jeep CJ-7 on a double axle car hauler trailer. I was the perfect setup…until F-A-T-H-E-R-H-O-O-D.
Since 1997, my wife and I are lucky enough to have added three kids and two dogs. I love them all, but unfortunately, the times of the whole family fitting in a six pack camper are long gone.
So last Friday as I browsed the local online classifieds, I came across an ad for an Extreme RV 31-foot Toy Hauler. The ad copy said something like “will fit four atvs, a sandrail or a Jeep.” I guess I’m behind the curve, because I had no idea these things were capable of hauling a Jeep.
First thing Saturday I went and checked it out. I made sure to drive my Jeep so I could check the fit. (I still had my doubts about a Jeep with 4-inches of lift and 35-inch mudders fitting in a trailer.) Sure enough, I pulled my rig right up the ramp and into the trailer’s garage—fit like a glove.
My next question was “Can this trailer handle the weight?” The seller pointed out the triple axle design and some other frame features that, along with some research on the Web, made me feel completely at ease with the hauling capacity of this particular unit.
Needless to say, I’m pretty excited about the setup. This hauler has a fuel station, 4000kw generator, air conditioning, bathroom, tv…essentially all the luxury features you’d expect in a regular trailer, but with a garage! And at around $20k, the price isn’t bad considering the outstanding capabilities.

What is the brand and model of this toyhauler? Any additional info would be great.
Thanks
Hey Josh,
This particular toyhauler was an Extreme RV 31′ model. (Triple Axle)
